Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Partners with CSIR-CECRI for Research and Skill Development

KAHE and CSIR-CECRI signed an MoU on July 1, 2024, in Coimbatore to foster collaborative research and skill development in science and technology, focusing on areas like battery technology and corrosion.


Coimbatore: Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) and CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), located in Karaikudi, have officially entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in areas of advanced science and technology. This strategic partnership, formalized on July 1, 2024, is set to facilitate joint research endeavors, skill development initiatives, and knowledge exchange programs.



The MoU underscores a shared commitment to provide practical skills and training, particularly in emergent fields related to battery technology, corrosion, and its protection.



By integrating the rich R&D capabilities of CSIR-CECRI with the vibrant academic environment of KAHE, the initiative promises to enhance both the theoretical understanding and practical skills of KAHE’s students and faculty. Through this collaboration, participants will gain privileged access to cutting-edge laboratories at CSIR-CECRI, augmenting their hands-on experience and overall expertise.



This collaboration aligns with ongoing efforts to bolster educational and research capabilities in the region. It was officiated by Prof. Dr. B. Venkatachalapathy, Vice-Chancellor of KAHE, and K. Ramesha, Director of CSIR-CECRI, amidst distinguished guests from both institutions. The partnership not only aims at fostering innovation but also equipping the future workforce with necessary skills to thrive in competitive areas of science and technology. As this collaboration unfolds, it is anticipated to propel significant advancements in research outputs and educational excellence, setting a benchmark for academic-industrial cooperation.
