Two Arrested for Illegal Sale of Liquor at Bakery in Anamalai, Pollachi

In the Anamalai area near Pollachi, two individuals were arrested for illegally selling out-of-state liquor at a local bakery, following a tip-off and police raid.


Coimbatore: The serene locations of Anamalai near Pollachi turned into a crime scene when the local police apprehended two men for the unauthorized sale of out-of-state liquor bottles inside a bakery. Yesterday evening, on receiving confidential information, Assistant Inspector Muruga Nathan led a detailed inspection at Vishnu Bakery within the Anamalai police jurisdiction.


Upon raiding, the police identified 39-year-olds Senthilkumar from Vettaikaranputhur and Rajesh as the culprits selling the liquor. It was confirmed that the duo was unlawfully selling liquor bottles sourced from Karnataka. Following this discovery, the police arrested both individuals and seized 67 bottles of liquor during the operation. This incident has led to the registration of a case against the apprehended individuals and further investigations are underway.
