District Level Monthly Bankers' Meeting Held Under the Leadership of Coimbatore District Collector

On June 27, a district-level monthly bankers' meeting was held at the Coimbatore District Collector's office chaired by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati. Key banking officials and government representatives attended.


Coimbatore: The district-level monthly bankers' meeting was organized at the Coimbatore District Collectorate conference hall today, chaired by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati. During the meeting, the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) book for the fiscal year 2024-2025, detailing loan projections for Coimbatore district banks, was officially released by the District Collector.




The event witnessed the presence of notable figures such as Reserve Bank Assistant General Manager Krishnakumar, Lead District Manager Jithendran, NABARD Assistant General Manager Thirumala Rao, Canara Bank Senior Manager Eswaramurthy, District Industries Centre General Manager Shanmugasiva, THANCO District Manager Maheswari, among other bankers and government officials.



During the assembly, District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati highlighted the targets set for the year 2024-2025 through the banking sector. With an aim to bolster economic growth and development across various sectors, the district banks plan to disburse loans amounting to Rs. 64,682 crores. Specifically, the agriculture sector is targeted to receive Rs. 26,789 crores while the MSME sector will have Rs. 35,661 crores allocated. Other priority loans sum up to Rs. 2,231 crores, marking an increase of Rs. 17,053 crores over the previous year.




Following the discussions, two students were awarded educational loans totalling Rs. 149 lakhs by the Central Cooperative Bank of Coimbatore, facilitated by the District Collector, aimed at supporting higher education.
