Exhibition Workers Robbed While Asleep in Palladam; Police Investigating

In Palladam, Tirupur, unidentified thief stole cellphones and a bag from workers asleep near an exhibition setup site. The incident has caused uproar with CCTV footage making rounds.


Coimbatore: A shocking incident occurred at Rayarpalayam on the Palladam-Tirupur road, where exhibition workers were targeted by a thief while they were asleep. The workers, engaged in setting up an exhibition, had taken refuge in the upper part of a nearby store to rest during the night. An unidentified individual reportedly stole three cellphones and a bag.




The theft came to light when the workers woke up and realized their belongings were missing. The workers reported the incident to the Palladam police, who have initiated an investigation based on the evidence, including CCTV footage from the scene, capturing the thief escaping on a two-wheeler. This theft has generated considerable concern, particularly among other workers in the area.
