Durga Stalin's Brother Appointed as the Director of Medical Services in Tamil Nadu

Dr. J. Rajamoorthy, brother of Durga Stalin, has been appointed as the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (DMS) in Tamil Nadu, overseeing all district and taluk hospitals.


Coimbatore: Dr. J. Rajamoorthy, a renowned doctor and the brother of Durga Stalin, wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has been officially appointed as the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (DMS). This elevation comes after his previous role as the Additional Director of ESI Hospitals in Tamil Nadu.

The announcement was made by the Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, Gagandeep Singh Bedi, following approval from the governor. Dr. Rajamoorthy, in his new capacity, will be responsible for the administration of medical facilities across all districts and taluks in the state. The former DMS, Dr. R. Elango Maheswaran, has transitioned to take on responsibilities within the ESI hospitals, which were previously under Dr. Rajamoorthy’s management.
