Entry Ban to Kovai Kutralam Announced by Forest Department Due to Heavy Rainfall

Following recent heavy rains near the Western Ghats in Coimbatore, the Forest Department has imposed a temporary entry ban to Kovai Kutralam for tourist safety, effective from June 26 until further notice.


Coimbatore: Due to continuous heavy rainfall in the areas near the Western Ghats in Coimbatore, the Forest Department has announced a temporary ban on visits to Kovai Kutralam. Over the last few days, the region has experienced significant rainfall, recording 60 mm in the foothills of Siruvani within the last 24 hours alone. In light of these conditions and prioritizing the safety of tourists, the entry to the popular tourist spot will be restricted from June 26 until a further announcement is made.
