Coimbatore DMK Secretary Na. Karthik expressed gratitude as approval has been given to set up an international cricket stadium on 20.72 acres in Ondipudur, following the directives from Chief Minister and the Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Coimbatore: In a significant development for sports infrastructure in Coimbatore, the Tamil Nadu government has approved the establishment of a 20.72-acre international cricket stadium in Ondipudur. The decision comes in alignment with directives from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and DMK party leader, and following initiatives by the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
This project is set to provide a massive boost to sports facilities in the region and is a response to the long-standing demands from various stakeholders, including local youth, women, players, and cricket enthusiasts. Additionally, Coimbatore city will also see the installation of a ₹50 lakh statue honoring renowned scientist G.D. Naidu, celebrating his contributions to science and technology.
DMK Secretary for Coimbatore District, Na. Karthik, shared his appreciation through a video post on his Facebook page on June 25th, thanking the Chief Minister and Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for their roles in realizing this project.
