Coimbatore City Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS visited and inspected the ongoing development works at Sanganur Hollow, valued at Rs. 49 Crore, and other city infrastructure projects.
Coimbatore: The Commissioner of Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, conducted an on-site inspection of the development works at Sanganur Hollow. The project, under the Central Zone of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation and worth Rs. 49 Crore, aims to enhance flood mitigation and urban infrastructure.
Commissioner Prabhakaran visited the development sites including Kannappan Nagar and Gandhipuram 7th Street, emphasizing the need for accelerated construction efforts. He instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of projects to maximize benefits for the residents.
In addition to the Sanganur Hollow works, the Commissioner also inspected other city infrastructures such as the operational efficiency of gates installed at Ukkadam Periyakulam, designed to manage overflow during monsoon seasons. His visit included inspection of the passenger shelters being constructed across Mettupalayam Road Bus Station facing the route towards Mettupalayam and Ooty, further enhancing the city's transportation amenities.
During these inspections, M. Sivaguru Prabakaran was accompanied by key city officials including Central Zone Chairperson Meenalochani, Chief City Engineer Anbalagan, Deputy Chief City Engineer Murugesan, Regional Assistant Commissioners Senthilkumaran, Sandhya, and Ilankovan, along with other engineering and municipal personnel. This team's coordinated efforts are vital for the timely progression and quality assurance of the developmental works undertaken.
