Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar launched additional classroom buildings and development works under the state plan, costing Rs. 21 lakh, at Kandasamy Nagar Municipal Primary School in Ward No. 4, North Zone, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: In a significant development for educational infrastructure, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inaugurated new classroom buildings and various development projects at Kandasamy Nagar Municipal Primary School, North Coimbatore. Funded by the state plan with an allocation of Rs. 21 lakh, the initiative aims to enhance the learning environment and cater to the growing number of students. The new facilities were started today, June 24, 2024.

Mayor Anandakumar, following the inauguration, visited ongoing construction works for a retaining wall from Palamurugan Temple to SS Garden under the Namakku Name Scheme. This project, worth Rs. 39 lakhs, will provide essential infrastructure to the residential areas of Ward No. 92, South Zone, Coimbatore.

Additionally, the mayor inspected the renovation works at Sukunapuram Municipal Primary School and the Anganwadi center in Kamaraj Nagar (KV Nagar). The detailed survey included checklist reviews on attendance registers and food supplies. Mayor Anandakumar, accompanied by Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan, Party Leader Karthikeyan, Assistant Engineer Kanagaraj, and other dignitaries, ensured that the projects adhere to the planned standards and are completed promptly.

These developmental activities reflect the city's commitment to improving public facilities and infrastructure, aimed at fostering a better quality of life for its residents.
