Coimbatore Police Urge Public to Report Encroachments

On June 20, Coimbatore Police Commissioner Balakrishnan encouraged the populace to report road encroachments affecting traffic and pedestrian movements in Coimbatore. Public can report via multiple contact platforms.

Coimbatore: Since taking charge as Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Balakrishnan has implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing law and order and traffic management in the city. To further improve the urban environment, the police have been actively removing encroachments that obstruct street traffic.

In a recent sweep, 31 locations across Coimbatore under both the West and East Traffic Police jurisdiction have been cleared of encroachments, making roads more accessible to the public. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance mobility for vehicles and pedestrians alike.

Meanwhile, the Coimbatore City Police has issued a notice urging the public to report any encroachments they encounter. Residents can contact the Coimbatore City Police control room at phone numbers 9498181213 or 8190000100, or through WhatsApp on the same numbers. Further, reports can be submitted using the landline number 0422 - 2300970, or online via the Coimbatore City Police's official X account (@policecbecity) or Facebook page.
