In Coimbatore, Convex Mirrors and automated metal detectors have been installed at the entrance of the City Police Commissioner's office to streamline the security and handle public grievances efficiently.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Police Commissioner's office has seen significant security enhancements recently. On a daily basis, numerous citizens visit to submit their grievances. Additionally, every Thursday, Police Commissioner Balakrishnan personally meets with the public to address their concerns.
To ensure the safety of both the public and the staff, an automated metal detector capable of detecting explosives has been installed at the entrance. This step has been taken considering the frequent footfall of numerous vehicles including bikes and cars, which can potentially cause chaos or even accidents near the busy entrance.
To mitigate this and streamline vehicle entry, the office has now installed Convex mirrors along with automated gates at two key points at the entrance. These mirrors help drivers see oncoming vehicles, thus preventing potential collisions and enhancing overall security as vehicles enter the office premises.
These measures not only ensure the safety of the officials but also aid in maintaining a smooth flow of the ever-increasing public traffic to the Commissioner's office.
