Accident on New Ukkadam Flyover Injures Four Children in Coimbatore

On June 17, Eid holiday, four children from Kurichi Pirivu, Itteri region, were injured in an accident on the newly constructed Ukkadam Flyover in Coimbatore while riding a bike.


Coimbatore: During the Eid holiday on June 17, a distressing accident occurred on the newly constructed Ukkadam Flyover involving four young boys from the Kurichi Pirivu, Itteri area. The group, all riding on a single bike, ventured out to tour the new flyover. Tragically, while making a round on the flyover, they crashed into the side barrier and fell from the bike.

Two of the boys suffered serious injuries, while the other two sustained minor injuries. The incident has brought sorrow to the local community, highlighting the dangers of the new structure. Following the accident, the police have installed barriers to prevent further access to the flyover, ensuring no further mishaps.
