Over 1000 Muslims Gather for Eid al-Adha Prayers in Thudiyalur, Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The festival of Eid al-Adha, signifying the virtue of sacrifice among believers, was observed in grandeur in Thudiyalur, where over 1000 men and women gathered at a private marriage hall for special prayers. This significant festival, celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, is known for its grand communal gatherings and the ritual sacrifice of animals such as goats, cows, and camels post-prayer.


The prayer session was a display of communal harmony, with attendees embracing and sharing their goodwill post the prayer. Following the prayers, the community engaged in Qurbani, the ritual of sacrifice, where the meat was distributed among all, fostering a spirit of sharing and caring.
