NEET 2024 Exam Paper Leak Uncovered in Godhra: Gujarat Police Arrest Five Including School Principal

Gujarat Police have arrested five individuals including a school principal in Godhra for a cheating scam during the NEET UG 2024 exam. The accused were involved in facilitating malpractice for 27 candidates.

Godhra: In a significant crackdown, Gujarat Police have apprehended five individuals linked to a cheating scandal during the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2024 examination. The arrested individuals include Parshottam Sharma, the principal of Jay Jalaram School in Godhra, along with Tushar Bhatt, middleman Arif Vohra, Vadodara-based education consultant Parsuram Roy, and his associate Vibhor Anand.

The group is accused of orchestrating a scheme to manipulate exam results for 27 candidates in exchange for monetary compensation, reportedly around Rs 10 lakhs. The disclosure of the scam occurred following a tip-off regarding abnormal activities at the designated NEET exam centre.

Further investigation led to the discovery that Roy had instructed candidates to register at the Godhra centre as a strategic move to ease the execution of the scam. Complicit in the scheme, Bhatt and Sharma are alleged to have manipulated answer sheets post-examination. Authorities have also recovered crucial evidence, including a WhatsApp list of 16 candidates coordinated by Roy, highlighting the organized nature of this cheating racket.
