75 wards to receive water once in 4 days; 25 wards to receive once in 5-6 days in Coimbatore: CCMC

The ongoing efforts ensure that all 75 wards receive water once every four days, while specific areas in the southern zone, consisting of 7 wards, are supplied every two days. Additionally, about 25 wards now experience a water supply every 5 to 6 days.


Coimbatore: Water supply in the city has been efficiently structured to cater to the needs of residents across various wards, as stated by Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran. The ongoing efforts ensure that all 75 wards receive water once every four days, while specific areas in the southern zone, consisting of 7 wards, are supplied every two days. Additionally, about 25 wards now experience a water supply every 5 to 6 days.

According to Commissioner Prabakaran, as of June 13, the corporation has been proactive in ensuring a consistent water supply due to recent rainfall and the successful upkeep of dams. This initiative is part of the broader strategy to manage water resources more efficiently and provide uninterrupted service to the residents of Coimabortore.
