Vanathi Srinivasan Comments on Congress and 'India' Alliance's Election Performance

Vanathi Srinivasan criticized Congress and 'India' alliance for their performance in the recent elections, stating they secured only 199 seats. She praised the clear verdict for PM Modi to continue.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South Constituency's Vanathi Srinivasan released a statement on June 7, highlighting the poor performance of Congress and the 'India' alliance in the elections.

She suggested someone should inform Rahul Gandhi about the defeat. According to Vanathi, Congress and its allies only secured a total of 199 seats, while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by BJP emerged victorious in the majority, marking their continued governance for a third term. This achievement matched that of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

This year's elections mark a significant moment as BJP alone won 240 seats and the 'India' alliance collectively managed 234 seats, with key contributions from other alliance members. Vanathi’s statement also touched upon PM Narendra Modi equating Pandit Nehru's record by securing the prime ministership for a third consecutive term. The results clearly indicate a strong mandate for PM Modi and the NDA, with a robust call from the electorate for continuity in governance.

Vanathi criticized the celebration of an apparent victory by the opposition, describing it as an illusion, despite the actual results showcasing BJP’s clear majority. This criticism extends to the 'Indi' alliance, which she claims failed to secure enough seats to claim a substantial impact. Vanathi's stern remarks underline the BJP's significant influence and mandate received from the voters, suggesting that the public's decision reflects a definitive and unchanged support for PM Modi’s leadership.
