Grievance Redressal Camp Held at District Police Office in Coimbatore

Following the directives of the Chief Minister, a grievance redressal camp, headed by District Police Chief Badrinath, was organized at the district police office in Coimbatore on June 5 to re-examine the unresolved petitions.

Coimbatore: In accordance with the Chief Minister's instructions, a special grievance redressal camp was held at the district police headquarters on June 5, led by District Police Chief Badrinath. The camp addressed public grievances by re-examining previously investigated petitions that were unresolved, thereby ensuring meticulous attention to the concerns of the petitioners.

Petitioners and respondents were invited to present their cases, which were examined by the District Police Chief and other police officers. Out of 65 reviewed petitions, actions such as the registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) were taken for three, while one was documented through receipt acknowledgments. Smooth resolutions were found for 50 petitions, and further investigations were recommended for 15 others.

The event saw participation from additional district police inspectors, deputy inspectors, and investigational officers who played a pivotal role in addressing the grievances comprehensively. The District Police Chief has also advised that public grievances can be addressed directly at local police stations and deputy inspectors' offices on working days, encouraging citizens to approach their nearest police authorities for solutions to their concerns.

This initiative by the Coimbatore district police has been well-received by the public, significantly alleviating community grievances and fostering a stronger relationship between the police force and the community.
