Siruvani Reservoir Water Level Drops due to Lack of Rainfall

Officials reported a decrease in water levels at Siruvani Reservoir, crucial for Coimbatore and surrounding villages, from 10.04 feet to 9.48 feet due to insufficient rainfall.

Coimbatore: Siruvani Reservoir, a vital water source for Coimbatore City Corporation and nearby village areas, has witnessed a significant drop in water levels this month. Initially recorded at 10.04 feet after recent rains, the reservoir's water level has currently decreased to 9.48 feet.

According to Water Resource Department officials, the sharp reduction in water levels is attributed to the scant rainfall and intense heat affecting the region. This situation has raised concerns about the potential water supply issues if the dry spell continues.
