Minister S. Muthusamy Inspects Kalaignar Statue and Library Construction

Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Prohibition and Excise, S. Muthusamy, visited the ongoing construction site of Kalaignar Statue and Library on Service Road, Coimbatore on May 26.


Coimbatore: In a significant event, Minister S. Muthusamy inspected the construction site of the Kalaignar statue and library located on the Service Road, Coimbatore. This project commemorates the centenary celebrations of Kalaignar, a former Chief Minister and a revered leader in Tamil Nadu. The site also comprises the construction of a 106-feet high DMK flagpole.



The inspection was accompanied by several notable DMK leaders including N. Karthik, ex MLA and Coimbatore Urban District Secretary; Thalapathy Murugesan, Secretary of Coimbatore South District; and other local leaders and administrators. The development reflects the government's appreciation towards Kalaignar's monumental influence in the region. The initiative aims not just to honor his legacy but also to enrich the urban landscape of Coimbatore.
