BJP State Treasurer S.R. Sekar Alleges Frequent CBCID Investigations Due to DMK Pressure

BJP State Treasurer S.R. Sekar claimed that repeated CBCID investigations at his Ganapathy residence in Coimbatore are due to pressure from the DMK government.

Coimbatore: Today, more than ten CBCID officials from Chennai conducted a prolonged interrogation at BJP State Treasurer S.R. Sekar's residence in the Ganapathy area regarding an alleged Rs. 4 crores. After the investigation, S.R. Sekar addressed the media, stating that despite requesting a 10-day adjournment due to scheduled party events, CBCID officials appeared without prior notice.

Sekar expressed dismay over the DMK government allegedly using police forces to create chaos and discredit the BJP. He emphasized that their actions seem intent on creating unnecessary commotion before the court order related to the case is expected tomorrow. Sekar assured that they are ready to face any investigation as there is nothing incriminating against them, but condemned the misuse of power for political gain.

He also mentioned that during the inquiry, questions unrelated to the case were raised. CBCID DSP Sasidharan led the team, which included officers from Chennai and local police. The incident has sparked significant controversy, highlighting the strained relations between the DMK and BJP in Tamil Nadu.
