Chinnakuttai Reservoir in Coimbatore Replenished After Recent Rains

In Coimbatore, the Chinnakuttai reservoir, spanning 2.5 acres, was recently deepened by a meter with financial aid from BROOKEFIELDS ESTATES PRIVATE LIMITED and has now been refilled due to recent rainfall, bringing joy to locals.

Coimbatore: In a collaborative effort by the Kovai Kulangal Padhukappu Amaippu, significant refurbishment work was carried out at the Chinnakuttai reservoir located in Vellalur village. With financial assistance from BROOKEFIELDS ESTATES PRIVATE LIMITED, the reservoir which spans over 2.5 acres, was deepened by one meter.

This enhancement has greatly increased the reservoir's capacity, particularly noteworthy during the recent continual rainfalls in Coimbatore, which have successfully refilled the reservoir.

This development has not only brought happiness to the local residents but also means that an additional 55 million liters of water can now be stored. The replenishment of the reservoir is a crucial step in improving water conservation efforts in the region.
