Rainwater Mixed with Sewage Floods Podanur Road, Causes Distress Among Locals

In Coimbatore's Kurichi area, rainwater overflowed and mixed with sewage on Podanur Road today evening, causing inconvenience to drivers and local shopkeepers.

Coimbatore: Residents and business operators along Podanur Road near the Podanur Railway Station faced significant challenges today, May 14, due to accumulated rainwater mixed with sewage.

The heavy rainfall in the evening led to the flooding of the road, severely affecting vehicular movement and local commerce.

The situation has raised health and safety concerns among the community, as the stagnant water could become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and spread illnesses. Efforts to clear the waterlogged area are being coordinated by local authorities, but residents urge for a permanent solution to prevent future occurrences.
