YouTuber Savukku Shankar Claims Jail Superintendent Broke His Arm

YouTuber Savukku Shankar alleges Coimbatore Jail Superintendent Senthil Kumar broke his arm and threatened him during his incarceration. He was admitted and re-bandaged at Coimbatore Government Hospital.


Coimbatore: In a startling allegation, YouTuber Savukku Shankar claimed that Jail Superintendent Senthil Kumar physically assaulted him, resulting in a broken arm, while he was detained in Coimbatore Central Prison. Savukku Shankar was initially arrested on the 4th of this month by the Theni Cyber Crime police and later transferred to the Coimbatore facility.

Following his claims of mistreatment and injury, Savukku Shankar's lawyer Gopalakrishnan reported the incident. Medical attention confirmed the injuries when Savukku Shankar was taken to Coimbatore Government Hospital last week, where he received treatment for his arm.

The situation escalated as Savukku Shankar, under heavy police guard, was taken to the hospital again for re-dressing of his initial bandages. This time, a fresh bandage was applied after the old one was removed.



During transport, Savukku Shankar openly accused Superintendent Senthil Kumar, alleging he physically assaulted him and threatened that "Coimbatore prison would be your burial." He was then returned to prison custody.

Police are currently investigating the allegations made by Savukku Shankar. A hearing regarding his custody is scheduled for today in court.
