Tamil Nadu Teachers Association Submits Petition in Dharapuram

In Dharapuram, Tirupur district, leaders and members of the Tamil Nadu Teachers Association submitted a petition regarding alleged forced labor of SC students by two teachers.


Coimbatore: Leaders and members of the Tamil Nadu Teachers Association's local chapter in Dharapuram, Tirupur, led by President Arumugam, Secretary Senthilkumar, Treasurer Saravanan, and Women's Wing Secretary Gandhimathi, gathered at the Dharapuram Revenue Division office. They submitted a petition to the Assistant of the Revenue Officer, requesting investigation into allegations against two teachers at a local middle school in Kumarapalayam. The complaint details that Headmistress Ilamathi Easwari and Science Teacher Chitra allegedly forced Scheduled Caste students to clean the school toilets. The petition calls for action against the parties with vested interests and a revocation of the dismissal of the accused teachers.
