Man Arrested for Selling Ganja Near Somanur Bus Stop

A man was arrested near Somanur Bus Stop for possessing and selling ganja following a tip-off received by the police today.



Coimbatore: In a crackdown on illegal drug activities, Coimbatore police made a significant arrest near Somanur Bus Stop today. Based on confidential information received, the police conducted a surprise inspection in the area. During the operation, they apprehended Maharajan, a 26-year-old from Tirunelveli district, who was found selling ganja. The police seized 1 kilogram and 150 grams of ganja from him and took him into custody. Maharajan now faces charges and has been remanded for judicial custody.

Following the incident, the police have issued a stern warning against those involved in the sale or activities against the law. Stringent action will be taken as per the regulations.
