Parents Complain After Discovering Steel Wire and Worms in KFC Chicken Ordered in Coimbatore

Parents in Singanallur, Coimbatore lodged a complaint after finding a steel wire and worms in the KFC chicken ordered online for their child on May 2. They didn't receive a satisfactory response from KFC.

Coimbatore: In a disturbing incident in the Singanallur area, Suthakar, a resident and IT professional working in Bengaluru, found his family at the center of a distressing situation. On May 2, his wife, residing in Singanallur, placed an online order from a nearby KFC outlet for their children. Upon consuming the chicken, the child discovered a piece of steel wire inside and immediately informed his mother. Shocked by the find, she contacted her husband, who made several unsuccessful attempts to reach the outlet directly.

The couple then raised a complaint with Zomato, the delivery service, who offered to refund the order. Dissatisfied with the response and concerned for other parents, Suthakar instructed his wife to document the foreign objects found in the food. After photographing the wire and uncovered worms upon further examination of the meal, he posted the images along with a cautionary message to parents on social media.

This has since gone viral since May 3, attracting attention and concern from netizens about food safety at popular restaurants. Additionally, both children experienced nausea and diarrhea following the meal, further confirming the parents' fears about the contaminated food. This incident has prompted wider scrutiny of food safety protocols in establishments and a call for rigorous checks to prevent such occurrences in the future.
