In response to the soaring summer heat, water and buttermilk stalls were set up in Thadagam and Pannimadai, under the initiative of C.M. Krishnakumar. Opened by MLA Thondamuthur Ravi on May 1.
Coimbatore: Amid the intense summer heat, residents of Thadagam and Pannimadai regions within the Periyanayakkanpalayam West Union now have some respite, thanks to new water and buttermilk stalls initiated by C.M. Krishnakumar, Union Party Secretary. These stalls aim to alleviate the community's thirst and provide relief from the heat.
The inauguration of these stalls was performed by Coimbatore North constituency MLA, Thondamuthur Ravi, marking the occasion of Labour Day on May 1. Following the formal opening, residents were provided with water, buttermilk, and watermelon slices, with the presence of DMK administrators and volunteers ensuring the smooth distribution.

These initiatives not only serve the immediate needs of hydrating and cooling but also foster a sense of community and goodwill among the local populace. Such efforts are especially critical during periods of extreme weather, offering much-needed support to the elderly and children who are most vulnerable to heatwaves.
