Tirupur: In an innovative approach to modern agriculture, a group of nine students from Coimbatore Agricultural University, led by Sriramalingam, engaged in a practical training session at Chathiram Gram in Dharapuram Union. With the support of Kaveri Agro Services, the team conducted an awareness program in Kottamuthampalayam village on the use of drones for spraying pesticides on crops.

These drones can be customized to monitor water levels and crop growth, offering a solution to labor shortages and ensuring timely application of chemicals. This technological intervention is proving to be a boon for local farmers, helping them enhance their agricultural practices and ensuring timely care for their crops.

The awareness initiative has greatly benefited the village farmers, empowering them with new tools and techniques in agriculture.
