Man Arrested for Possession of Narcotics in Ramanathapuram

In Ramanathapuram, police arrested an individual found with 5 grams of narcotics near an old TASMAC shop in Savithri Nagar during a routine patrol led by Inspector Kasthuri.


Ramanathapuram: During a routine night patrol on April 25, Ramanathapuram Police Inspector Kasthuri detained a suspicious individual near the former TASMAC shop in Savithri Nagar. Upon search, the police discovered 5 grams of narcotics on him, leading to his immediate arrest. Further investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Shanmugam from Ammankulam in Sami Lay Out, was subsequently presented in court and remanded to Coimbatore jail for further legal proceedings.
