Special Buses Deployed from Coimbatore for Chitra Pournami Pilgrimage to Palani and Tiruvannamalai

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Coimbatore) announces additional bus services to Palani and Tiruvannamalai on April 23, 2024, for the Chitra Pournami festival.


Coimbatore: In response to the upcoming Chitra Pournami festival on April 23, 2024, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Coimbatore has planned to operate additional buses to facilitate pilgrims traveling to Palani and Tiruvannamalai. According to the TNSTC, a total of 55 special buses will be deployed to manage the increased flow of devotees expected during the festival.




Of these, 20 buses will head to Palani and 35 to Tiruvannamalai, supplementing the regular bus services already in place. This initiative aims to ensure smooth and efficient travel for the thousands of pilgrims set to visit these sacred sites for the auspicious occasion.






The additional services not only provide convenience but also enhance the safety of travelers by managing the heavy influx of passengers during the festival period. Pilgrims can look forward to a comfortable journey with these special bus arrangements, reinforcing the corporation's commitment to facilitating religious tourism and crowd management during significant cultural events.
