Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS conducted an inspection at the Angappa Matriculation Higher Secondary School voting center in Goundampalayam, which had a low voter turnout in the previous election.

Coimbatore: In a proactive measure to assess and enhance the voting process, Coimbatore District Election Officer/Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS visited the Angappa Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Goundampalayam on April 3, 2024. This school, identified as one of the polling centers with a notably low voter turnout in the last elections, was under scrutiny to identify any underlying issues and improve voter participation in future elections.

During the visit, the District Collector was accompanied by Revenue Divisional Officer Govindan and Tahsildar Manivel. The team thoroughly inspected the facilities and arrangements at the polling center to ensure it is adequately equipped and accessible for all voters. The visit underscores the administration's commitment to encouraging higher voter engagement and addressing any barriers that might deter people from exercising their electoral rights.
