Training Sessions for Polling Officers to Commence Tomorrow in Coimbatore Ahead of 2024 Parliament Elections

Coimbatore district announces the commencement of first-phase training sessions for polling officers across ten constituencies, aiming to gear up for the 2024 Parliament elections with 3094 polling stations in the Coimbatore and Pollachi constituencies.


Coimbatore: With the 2024 Parliament general elections on the horizon, the Coimbatore district administration has rolled out its plans to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process. Starting tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM, the first phase of training sessions for polling officers will kick off across ten educational institutions to prepare for the elections scheduled on 19.04.2024.

The Coimbatore district administration, in its statement released today, March 23, announced the designated training locations for polling officers of the 20 Coimbatore and 21 Pollachi parliamentary constituencies, encompassing 3094 polling stations. These training sessions aim to enhance the preparedness and efficiency of the officials responsible for overseeing the voting process.

The training venues include National Metriculation School for the 111-Mettupalayam constituency, R.V.S. College of Arts and Science for the 116-Sulur constituency, Kongunadu Arts and Science College for the 117-Kavundampalayam constituency, and Hindusthan College of Arts and Science for the 118-Coimbatore (North) constituency.

Further, Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science will host the training for the 119-Thondamuthur constituency, Nirmala College for Arts and Science for the 120-Coimbatore (South) constituency, P.S.G. College of Engineering and Technology for the 121-Singanallur constituency, and Hindusthan College of Engineering for the 122-Kinathukadavu constituency.

Additionally, Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology has been selected as the training venue for the 123-Pollachi and 124-Valparai (Special) constituencies. These sessions are a crucial step towards ensuring that the 2024 Parliament elections are conducted seamlessly in Coimbatore.
