Farmers Protest Against PM Modi Near Palladam by Waving Black Flags

Tamil Nadu farmers staged a black flag protest near Palladam against PM Modi for not fulfilling the promises made to farmers in the 2014 and 2019 election manifestos. Over 50 participants were arrested.


Coimbatore: In a significant protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu farmers, under the banner of the Tamil Nadu Farmers Protection Association, staged a black flag demonstration near Palladam, specifically in Avinashi Palayam Alagumalai division, on February 27.



The protest was sparked by the PM's alleged failure to fulfill the promises made to farmers in the election manifestos of 2014 and 2019. The protestors accused the PM of betraying the agricultural community by not implementing the assurances given. Police arrested over 50 individuals who participated in the demonstration, highlighting the intensity of the farmers' grievances and their determination to seek accountability.
