Park Educational Group’s Dual College Convocation Honored by Anna University VC in Coimbatore

The event was held at the college campus in Karumathampatti, celebrating the 35th convocation of the Tamil Nadu Engineering College and the 22nd convocation of the Park Engineering and Technology College.


Coimbatore: On February 11, 2024, the Park Group of Institutions' convocation ceremony for its two colleges located in Kaniyur and Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, was a grand affair. The event was held at the college campus in Karumathampatti, celebrating the 35th convocation of the Tamil Nadu Engineering College and the 22nd convocation of the Park Engineering and Technology College. Dr. R. Velraj, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai, graced the event as the chief guest and presented certificates to the engineers.



A total of 899 undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students received their certificates in a magnificent ceremony. Among them, Ms. Monisha from the Master's program in Aeronautical Engineering at Park Engineering and Technology College was awarded a university-level gold medal by Dr. R. Velraj, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai. Furthermore, three undergraduate engineering graduates achieved university ranks for their outstanding academic performance.

The event was presided over by Dr. P.V. Ravi, Chairman of the Park Educational Group, and Dr. Anusha Ravi, the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sathish Kumar, the General Manager, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the colleges' achievement of high NAAC accreditation scores this academic year. He proudly mentioned that six former students of the aeronautical engineering department had contributed to the Chandrayaan project.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor pointed out the youthful average age of Indians at 28 compared to over 45 in other countries, emphasizing the global demand for India's human resource potential. He informed the audience that over 400 new manufacturing companies were started in 2014, and thanks to conducive policies by the Tamil Nadu and Indian governments, over a hundred thousand companies are now being established. He stressed that success in their fields requires not only knowledge and skill but also the right approach. He highlighted the advancements in various sectors due to artificial intelligence and the importance of multi-disciplinary integration in today's industries. He expressed his pleasure at the unique engineering programs offered by the institution that meet these modern requirements.

The Vice-Chancellor concluded his speech by blessing the engineering graduates to succeed in life with the blessings of their parents and teachers. The ceremony continued with the distribution of certificates to all graduates and concluded on a high note with the national anthem.
