During a meeting held in Coimbatore's Peelamedu area, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, the party engaged with various stakeholders, including industrialists, the public, and farmers, to gather input for their election manifesto. Kanimozhi, addressing the media post-event, emphasized that the DMK has not been indifferent to the struggles of small businesses, especially regarding electricity charges. She acknowledged multiple dialogues with the industry sector to tackle this issue, although admitting the complexity of meeting all demands simultaneously.
Kanimozhi highlighted that the party's election manifesto committee, under the directive of the Chief Minister, has been actively soliciting and incorporating feedback from different sectors across locations, including grievances related to GST and infrastructure needs fundamental to businesses.
