Bharathamatha Welfare Foundation Celebrates Pongal in Udayampalayam, Coimbatore

The Bharathamatha Welfare Foundation in Udayampalayam, Coimbatore, hosts a grand Pongal festival, promoting communal harmony and engaging the elderly and children in various activities.

The Bharathamatha Welfare Foundation in Udayampalayam, Coimbatore, celebrated Pongal with a festive spirit of religious harmony on January 15. For over 27 years, the foundation has been actively involved in various social services in Coimbatore, including support for destitute elderly, children, and mentally challenged individuals.

The Samathuva Pongal event, under the guidance of administrative guardian Gauri Shankar, was marked with various activities, including traditional Pongal cooking, tug-of-war, musical chairs, and lemon spoon races. These activities engaged both the elderly and children, bringing joy and enthusiasm to the participants.

Administrators of the Bharathamatha Welfare Foundation, including Rajesh, Balasundaram, Sujan, Subakarini, Kansika, Mohitha Sri, Manikandan, Raman, Latchumanan, and Goutham, along with Aravanikkum Anbu Illam's administrators Prince, Madankumar, and Ganesh, contributed to the event's success.

This celebration not only honored the festival of Pongal but also showcased the foundation's commitment to fostering community spirit and inclusivity.
