Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Fair Price Shop in Coimbatore's Ward 49

Coimbatore's Singanallur constituency launches construction of a new fair price shop with an allocated fund of ₹22 lakhs from the MLA development fund.

The foundation stone for a new fair price shop in Ward No. 49 under the Singanallur assembly constituency was laid yesterday (January 13). Funded with ₹22 lakhs from the MLA development fund, this initiative aims to enhance the public distribution system in the area.



The groundbreaking ceremony or 'Bhoomi Pooja' was initiated by MLA K.R. Jayaram. The event saw participation from notable local figures, including Party Secretary Mounasamy, Zone Secretary Arasu Murugan, former Councilor Saravanan, former Councilor from Palaiyur Mohan, Advocate Vimal Somu, along with other party officials and the general public.





The establishment of the new fair price shop is a significant step towards ensuring the availability of essential commodities at subsidized rates for the community.







The presence of a large public gathering at the ceremony indicates the community's support for the project and their anticipation for its completion.
