Coimbatore: The Asian Silambam Championship, hosted in Nagercoil on December 29, 2023, was a grand event that featured over 300 athletes from countries like India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Nepal. Among these skilled competitors, Coimbatore's own Navneeth stood out by winning a gold medal.

This remarkable achievement was celebrated on January 13 at the MDMK office in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. Auditor Arjunaraj, leader of the Coimbatore MDMK party, felicitated Navneeth for his outstanding performance in the traditional martial arts competition. The event serves as a testament to the local talent and their dedication to preserving and excelling in traditional sports.
