Anjaneya Jayanthi Celebrations at Udumalai Srinivasa Perumal Temple

Special rituals and abhishekams mark Anjaneya Jayanthi at the renowned Udumalai Srinivasa Anjaneya Perumal Temple in Tiruppur district.


Coimbatore: Today, on the auspicious occasion of Anjaneya Jayanthi, the Arulmigu Srinivasa Anjaneya Perumal Temple, located on Vakkeel Nagarajan Street in Udumalai, witnessed a day filled with devotion and spiritual fervor. Devotees from various parts of the Udumalai municipality congregated to participate in the special rituals dedicated to Lord Anjaneya.

The temple conducted 16 types of sacred abhishekams (ritualistic bathing of the deity) using milk, rose water, turmeric, tender coconut, and sandalwood among other aromatic substances. Lord Anjaneya, adorned in a special alankaram (decor), blessed the devotees with his divine presence.

The temple also organized annadanam (distribution of food) for all the devotees present. Similarly, at the Navaneethakrishnan Temple on Periya Kadai Street, the Anjaneya Sannidhi also held special rituals and abhishekams to honor Anjaneya Jayanthi.

These celebrations not only reflect the deep-rooted cultural heritage of the region but also draw devotees from different areas, showcasing the unifying power of such spiritual events.
