Coimbatore: Yesterday, a significant meeting was held at the Coimbatore Central Regional Transport Office involving the Omni Bus Owners' Association. The primary focus of the meeting was to decide on maintaining a standard fare for omni buses during festival seasons.

It was resolved that only government-fixed fares should be collected, and any bus found collecting additional charges would be subjected to stringent action, including detention of the vehicle. This directive aims to regulate the operation of omni buses and ensure fair practices.

Furthermore, the officials instructed that the public could report any irregularities or additional charges by omni buses to the authorities via the WhatsApp number 93848-08304.

The meeting was attended by regional transport officers, motor vehicle inspectors, and omni bus owners. This gathering marked a collaborative effort to ensure fair transportation practices and address public grievances related to omni bus operations in Coimbatore.
