Tamil Nadu Farmers Association Meeting Held in Udumalai

Tirupur: A crucial meeting of the Tamil Nadu Farmers Association was held in Kizhavan Kattur village, near Udumalai, Tirupur district.



Presided over by the district secretary of the Farmers Association, Palanisamy, the meeting saw the participation of Deputy Secretary Ponramesh, and various other administrative members including District Leader Thirumurugan, Media Forum Secretary Kanagaraj, and PMK administrators Saravanan, Soundarraj, and Vijayakumar.



The assembly discussed several resolutions, including the urgent provision of three-phase electricity in the Udumalai Madathukulam area due to the severe impact on farmers, regularization of water release from Amaravathi dam, allocation of funds for cleaning PAP (Parambikulam-Aliyar Project) canals till the tail end, and inspection of seeds purchased from private fertilizer stores due to germination issues. These measures aim to address the critical challenges faced by the farming community in the region.
