Car bomb blast in Coimbatore - 14th person arrested by NIA

NIA officials have arrested TahaNaseer (27) from Podanur Tirumalai Nagar as the 14th person in this case. Naseer has been arrested on the basis of suspicion that he had prior knowledge of the Coimbatore car blast.


Coimbatore: National Investigation Agency officials have arrested the 14th person in the car bomb blast incident in Coimbatore Town Hall area last year.

Jameesa Mubin, an A1 convict, was charred to death in the car blast incident in front of the Kottai Easwaran Temple in Coimbatore Town Hall last year. While the NIA officials are investigating this, 13 people have been arrested so far in connection with the car blast incident.

Meanwhile, National Investigation Agency officials have arrested TahaNaseer (27) from Podanur Tirumalai Nagar as the 14th person in this case. He has been working as a painter in a car service company. The National Intelligence Agency officials arrested Naseer yesterday on the basis of suspicion that he had prior knowledge of the car bombings and produced him in Poonnamallee court in Chennai today and put him in jail.
