Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district police have arrested individuals involved in a series of thefts in the Aliyar region of the district. Valuables including jewelry and money were recovered from the arrested individuals.
Amirtha Gowri from the Aliyar region, who found her house burgled upon her return, reported that unknown thieves had broken into her house and stolen 15 sovereigns of gold jewelry. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the district police, led by Superintendent of Police Mr. Patrinarayanan, launched an investigation.
On October 26, 2023, as part of the ongoing investigation, police arrested Anandharaj son of Jeyaraj (33) from Kottoor area, Nadaraj son of Murugavel (37) from Karumbapalayam area, and Ramachandran’s son Kevin Kumar (21). Interrogation revealed that the suspects were involved in multiple criminal cases including the aforementioned theft.
The police have retrieved the stolen 15 sovereigns of gold jewelry from the suspects and have presented them before the court. The district SP has warned that strict legal actions will be taken against those found involved in any unlawful activities.
