Ukkadam Car Bomb Blast Anniversary: MLA Vanathi Srinivasan and Prof Kanagasabapathy Offers Prayers at Kottai Easwaran Temple

Today’s prayer session coincides with the celebration of Ayudha Pooja, a significant festival in the region, which has brought together a large number of residents at the temple to offer their prayers.


Coimbatore: On the same day that marked the anniversary of a car bomb blast at the Ukkadam Kovil Easwaran Temple last year, BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan conducted a special prayer session at the temple.





The Ukkadam Kottai Easwaran Temple in Coimbatore witnessed a horrific incident on October 23rd last year when a car bomb explosion occurred. The explosion resulted in the loss of a life as the vehicle was driven into the temple premises. Initially, the incident was reported as a cylinder explosion, but subsequent police investigations confirmed it as a car bomb blast. National agencies are currently conducting an in-depth investigation into the matter.

In the wake of the car bomb blast incident that took place on the same day last year, extensive police security measures have been taken around the Ukkadam Kovil Easwaran Temple today.

Over twenty police personnel have been assigned to maintain security around the temple premises.

In this environment of heightened security, BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan, along with other party members, conducted a special prayer session at the temple today.
