Coimbatore Drivers Welfare Association Organizes Accident Insurance and Eye Treatment Camp

Coimbatore’s S.K.D. Telegram Group, under the auspices of the Coimbatore Drivers Welfare Association, conducts accident insurance and eye treatment camp for drivers and their families.


Coimbatore: In a significant initiative, the Coimbatore Drivers Welfare Association, an affiliate of the S.K.D. Telegram Group, organized a special camp for drivers and their families at a private hall in Coimbatore. The event included accident insurance coverage facilitated by India Post and eye check-up facilities supported by Eye Foundation.

The event was led by Mr. S.K.D. Raja Manickam, the President of Coimbatore Drivers Welfare Association, an organization well-known for its dedication to the welfare of drivers in the Coimbatore district. Key members of the association, including Secretary Mr. Krishnamurthy, Vice President Mr. M.S.K. Sivakumar, and Treasurer Mr. Kaledash, played pivotal roles in the event’s success.



The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities, including Mr. Rajesh, Inspector of Kavundampalayam Police Station, Mr. Sivagurunathan, Inspector of Traffic at Thudiyalur Police Station, Mr. Mansoor, Assistant Manager of Eye Foundation, Mr. Jegannathan, PRO of P.R.O Jeganathan, Senior Manager at Indian Post Payments Bank, Mr. Bhoobalan, among others. Their presence added significant value to the camp, ensuring its smooth execution.

During the camp, medical professionals provided free eye examinations to drivers, their family members, and the general public. Additionally, the Coimbatore Drivers Welfare Association generously offered accident insurance coverage worth Rs. 10 lakh to its members, and other attendees had the option to avail coverage at a premium of Rs. 399, along with necessary documentation.



The event concluded with heartfelt thanks from Rajagopal, Legal Advisor, expressing gratitude to all attendees and contributors for making the camp a success.
