More than 200 protesters gathered at the Coimbatore district collector's office, donning black patches and chanting slogans, emphasizing their demands.
Tensions rose as police intervened, stopping them from meeting the district collector directly. After negotiations, a delegation of 20 key administrators was allowed to meet the District Collector to press their demands further.
