Later speaking to reporters, she said, five new bus stop shelters and an anganwadi centre will be set up at a cost of Rs 1 crore from the Coimbatore South assembly constituency fund.
The views of the people of the constituency will be heard and their needs will be fulfilled from the block fund. The 33 p.c. reservation bill for women should be passed unanimously. All parties in Tamil Nadu should support this. There is 50 per cent reservation for women in Tamil Nadu. Women's problems will be resolved from their point of view when it comes to more female members.
A few days ago, a resolution on the Women's Reservation Bill was passed at a meeting of DMK MPs. Why did the DMK pass that resolution? For which vote bank was passed? What is the real face of the DMK which is criticising the BJP? The BJP follows the 33 per cent reservation within the party.
There is no place for women in the first row in the DMK cabinet. In the BJP, women are accommodated in the first row. The DMK has no right to say that the BJP is doing politics in passing the bill.
