The residents of Samathuvapuram area of Arivoli Nagar under Madukkarai Municipality in Coimbatore submitted a petition to the District Collector's office demanding basic amenities, sanitation facilities and solving the drinking water problem.



Coimbatore: People have warned that they will throw their Aadhaar card and ration card at the district collectorate if basic amenities are not provided.



The residents of Samathuvapuram area of Arivoli Nagar under Madukkarai Municipality in Coimbatore submitted a petition to the District Collector's office demanding basic amenities, sanitation facilities and solving the drinking water problem.



As no action was taken despite repeated complaints to resolve the basic issues, they gheraoed the collectorate.



They said children were suffering from dengue fever due to poor health and that a medical camp should be set up there immediately and if their demand was not resolved, they would throw their ration cards and identity cards, including Aadhaar, into the district collector's office.
