Coimbatore: Ministers K N Nehru and Muthusamy participated in a function to inaugurate the completed works in municipal administration and water supply department, corporations and town panchayats in Coimbatore district, inaugurate new works and distribute welfare assistance at the VOC ground.
Inauguration of completed works, inauguration of new works and distribution of welfare assistance in Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Corporation and Town Panchayats of Coimbatore District was held at V.O.C. Grounds, Coimbatore.
Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration and Water Supply Minister K N Nehru and Tamil Nadu Housing and Urban Development Minister Muthusamy attended the function and inaugurated 27 unfinished works at an estimated cost of Rs 11.8 crore for the use of the public. A total of Rs.110.68 crore was sanctioned by laying the foundation stone for 558 new schemes at a cost of Rs.67.48 crore and 703 beneficiaries at a cost of Rs.32.12 crore.
Following this, Minister Muthusamy said: In Coimbatore district, the work is going on well. The authorities are asking for the work to be done. Our Municipal Minister K.N. Nehru is presenting the projects he asks for by looking at the financial situation. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is scheduled to visit Coimbatore on 22nd and 23rd September. A regional review meeting will be held in Coimbatore, he said.
