Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage tomorrow (August 29, 2026) in several areas around Sulur due to monthly maintenance work at the Sulur substation. The power disruption will affect residents and businesses from 9 AM to 5 PM.

TNEB officials stated that the monthly maintenance work at Sulur substation is essential to ensure continued safe and reliable power supply to the region. The scheduled maintenance activities will be carried out during the eight-hour window to minimize inconvenience to consumers.

The power outage will affect several localities including T.M. Nagar, Ranganathapuram, M.G. Pudur, P.S. Nagar, Kannampalayam, Kangeyampalayam, and Ravuttur. Electricity supply will be completely suspended in these areas during the maintenance period.

The electricity board has requested residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly and make necessary arrangements to cope with the power disruption.
